Fabrication Operators – Levels I – II – III

AROW Global Corp. has been operating in Canada and the United States since 1965, specializing in transportation window systems for major North American bus and recreational vehicle manufacturers. AROW’s core competencies lie in the design and manufacture of transit bus window systems at its 60,000 square foot production facility located in Mosinee, Wisconsin.

Fabrication positions can include:
Hardware, Sandblasting, Slotter, Endmill, Handrilling, Drill/Punch Press, Benders, CNC, Saws, Material Handler, Shipping/Receiving.

Physical requirements will vary by position, but can include:

  • Ability to lift 10lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to lift 10-25lbs on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift 25-50lbs on an occasionally basis
  • Must be able to work overhead on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to work shoulder level on a seldom to frequent basis
  • Must be able to have a complete range of movement of the arms and wrist

Skills needed also vary by position, but can include:

  • Tape measure reading ability
  • Ability to read calipers and other precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to follow instructions/illustrations
  • Ability to follow written work orders
  • Ability to work independently

Clamprings, Subframes, Frame Hardware, Sash Glazing, Table Glazing, Sealing/Frame Assembly, Invero, Packing/ Final Inspection, Crating.

Buyer

Work Site County/ies: Marathon

Pay: Based on experience
Duration/usual hours per week: Full-time, 40 hours per week minimum
Shift/work days: First shift, Monday – Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the creation, tracking and management of purchase orders for raw materials, components, and MRO items. Develop new buying strategies and aid in supplier development. Manage the procurement of materials and services in the most economical, efficient manner possible. Review customer and MRP requirements and plan work orders to support.

Minimum Requirements:
Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience desired.

Experience / qualifications:

  • 2 – 3 Years’ experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment as a buyer or planner desired.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with the supply chain, customer service, operations and engineering teams.
  • Understanding of MRP/ERP systems required – Syteline system a plus.

2nd Shift Supervisor

Work Site County/ies: Marathon
On bus route? No
Pay: Based on experience
Duration/usual hours per week: Full-time, 40 to 58 hours per week
Shift/work days: Second shift, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 10hr days – some Fridays and Saturdays.
Number of openings: 1

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure effective utilization of resources for the Assembly and Fabrication Department. Coordinate daily priorities with 1st shift Lead Hands. Assist with manpower planning. Ensure daily production targets and customer delivery requirements are met. Coordinate training and cross training. Ensure employees are qualified to perform the assigned tasks and identify deficiencies in training. Participate in continuing improvement projects, 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives. Ensure standardized work is followed. Resolve production and quality problems by working with the appropriate departments. Ensure all documentation is filled in consistently, correctly and accurately. Motivate employees through involvement, communication and positive reinforcement.

Minimum Requirements:
Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree desired.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Age

  • 18 or older required

Experience / qualifications:

  • Prior experience that will enable the supervisor to meet expectations of quality, safety and productivity. Demonstrated ability to lead team with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience with MRP strongly desired.
  • We are looking for an individual who knows how to lead by example; has an entrepreneurial mind set and can contribute as we continue on our quest for excellence in manufacturing.
  • Prior manufacturing experience is required.

Plant Manager

Responsible for directing and managing all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance and other production-related activities.
