Fabrication Operators – Levels I – II – III

AROW Global Corp. has been operating in Canada and the United States since 1965, specializing in transportation window systems for major North American bus and recreational vehicle manufacturers. AROW’s core competencies lie in the design and manufacture of transit bus window systems at its 60,000 square foot production facility located in Mosinee, Wisconsin.

Fabrication positions can include:
Hardware, Sandblasting, Slotter, Endmill, Handrilling, Drill/Punch Press, Benders, CNC, Saws, Material Handler, Shipping/Receiving.

Physical requirements will vary by position, but can include:

  • Ability to lift 10lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to lift 10-25lbs on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift 25-50lbs on an occasionally basis
  • Must be able to work overhead on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to work shoulder level on a seldom to frequent basis
  • Must be able to have a complete range of movement of the arms and wrist

Skills needed also vary by position, but can include:

  • Tape measure reading ability
  • Ability to read calipers and other precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to follow instructions/illustrations
  • Ability to follow written work orders
  • Ability to work independently

Clamprings, Subframes, Frame Hardware, Sash Glazing, Table Glazing, Sealing/Frame Assembly, Invero, Packing/ Final Inspection, Crating.

Design Drafter

Reporting to the Design Engineering Supervisor, the Designer/Drafter will:

  • Create and maintain engineering documentation. This includes drafting support for our Product Designers.
  • Create and maintain publication packages including BOM’s, exploded views and service procedures.
  • Product definition through engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Assist with first article inspections (FAI) on in-house designs and customer supplied drawings and samples.
  • Assist with determining customer requirements.
  • Tooling design.
  • Participate in value analysis/value engineering initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot product issues on and off site and provide direction on the necessary corrective actions.

Other Experience and Qualifications:

This position will require:

  • 3D CAD modeling with Solid Works is an absolute requirement.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to allow communication with production employees, management, vendors and peers.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to implement change.

In addition, these skills are desired:

  • Knowledge of metal fabrication or transportation window manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of glazing materials for transportation applications.
  • Experience working with industry standards such as DOT, SAE, ASTM, and ANSI.

Manufacturing Engineer

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Providing problem resolution to ensure product quality, process consistency and product specification.
  • Leading work flow improvements through Lean Manufacturing methods.
  • Mentoring production personnel in the principals of 5S and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Planning facility layouts to optimize work flow and develop proper set-up techniques.
  • Collaborate with Lead Hands and those in support functions to improve fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Design and procurement of tooling and fixtures.
  • Work with Design Engineering to increase the manufacturability of our products.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Products with an emphasis on Excel.
  • ERP or MRP system knowledge.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem solving skills a must.
  • Strong leadership; interpersonal and analytical skills along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate with manufacturing personnel, customers and suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to implement change.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with glazing materials for window applications.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication or transportation window manufacturing.
  • 3D CAD Modeling with Solidworks.

Customer Service Representative

Duties of the position:

  • Interaction with customers on a daily basis via telephone and emails
  • Work with Customer Portals to retrieve and update information
  • Order entry
  • Issuing RMA’s and working w/Quality and field service reps
  • Provide status reports to customers
  • Sales & Operations Planning support/data entry
  • Provide shipping paperwork to customers
  • Provide quotes & bids to customers
  • Provide order pick lists to Production
  • Generate and review daily reports
  • Filing (hard copies / electronically)
  • Invoicing (to provide back up if needed)
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures (as needed)
  • Assist       departmental manager with projects and other duties as time allows

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior customer experience in a mfg. setting required
  • Scheduling background and working with prints a plus
  • Knowledge of pricing to back up Pricing Coordinator if needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience with Syteline strongly desired or other MRP/ERP systems
  • Ability to interact with vendors, customers (both internal and external)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills a must
  • Above average computer skills (Excel, Word, Windows OS
  • Creative thinker with the ability to “think outside the box” to help improve our processes and procedures
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel (if needed)
